Journey of Growth, Empowerment, and Sustainability
Founded in 2019, Nkhotakota Steadfast Cooperation Limited (NSC) began as a partnership known as Nkhotakota Steadfast Cooperations for Youth, focused on crop farming and trading. As our operations grew and our vision expanded, we recognized the need to formalize and broaden our scope. In 2024, we rebranded to Nkhotakota Steadfast Cooperation Limited, transitioning to a limited liability company with a stronger focus on fish processing, trading, and sustainable agribusiness practices.
This transformation marked a significant milestone in our journey, allowing us to empower more smallholder farmers and expand our impact. By incorporating innovative solutions like the Pay-As-You-Grow (PAYG) financing model, we provide farmers with access to resources, technical training, and reliable markets. These initiatives have enabled over 1,000 farmers—many of whom are women and youth—to increase productivity, improve their livelihoods, and contribute to Malawi’s food security.
Today, NSC is a key player in Malawi’s agribusiness and aquaculture sectors, delivering high-quality rice and fish products to consumers nationwide. Guided by our commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and community empowerment, we continue to drive transformative change while building a better future for Malawi’s agricultural landscape.

NSC was officially registered as an unlimited liability partnership, marking the beginning of our structured operations and community impact.
The company rebranded to Nkhotakota Steadfast Cooperation Limited and transitioned to a limited liability company. This transformation allowed us to expand into fish processing and trading, alongside our rice farming initiatives, solidifying our role in Malawi’s agribusiness sector.

In addition, we offer technical training, capacity building, and market linkages, enabling farmers to increase their productivity and grow their businesses sustainably.
